Time for the yearly event that is, the Timonium auction. A long day of driving, and hanging out with friends. This year was only slightly different. For starts, the show seemed a bit lighter then normal. Fewer pins and more so on the vids. Auction Game Sales set their show up identical to last year, with a buy it now area in the back and the auction only stuff in a separate room. Promptly at 10, the auction started and soon branched out into 2 separate auctioneers, heading down 2 rows. Shouts out to Jeff Kinder of the D.L.P. for getting one auction while I got the other. The auctioneers finished off 4 rows of games an disappeared into the buy it not room. That's when we split for lunch, so just like last year, there are no prices from that room Overall, what is normally the biggest and best auction in the area, turned out to be disappointing, Only a handful of uncommon pieces, and even fewer that were very nice. It makes me wonder if the hobby of collecting at auctions is over. Completing auction house US Amusement decided to hold an auction of there own back in NJ. This is my guess as to why the MD show was smaller, but who knows. Lets hope for a better turn out next year. -=Mark=-
